Channel 5 has commissioned The Garden to make '100% British', a documentary series about Cheetham Hill, Manchester – one of the most multi-cultural areas in the world. The three-part series, executive produced by Danny Horan, will be filmed in Britain's most diverse street and beyond, where more than 30 languages are spoken over two square miles, as families from different faiths, nationalities and generations live, work and celebrate there together.

30 new episodes of the RTS award-winning documentary series '24 Hours in A&E' have been commissioned by Channel 4. They will be filmed at a new hospital, St George's Hospital in Tooting, south west London, after the previous 70 were recorded at King's College Hospital. The latest order takes the total number of episodes to 100.

BAFTA WIN FOR THE GARDEN
The Garden has won its first BAFTA for 'Bedlam', a 4-part documentary series for Channel 4 about the patients and staff of The South London and Maudsley, Britain's most famous psychiatric institution. With nominations for 'Bedlam' and 'Keeping Britain Alive', for BBC2, The Garden was responsible for half the shortlist in the Factual Series category. It is the second year running that The Garden had double BAFTA nominations, after 'The Audience' and '24 Hours in A&E' were shortlisted in 2013. ITV plc has acquired The Garden. The move fits The Garden's long-term strategy to grow internationally and with ITV's five-year Transformation Plan. The Garden's Chief Executives, Nick Curwin and Magnus Temple, said: “The values and ethos of The Garden will remain unchanged, as will our appetite for innovation, our insistence on delivering to the highest standards and our focus on the key relationships we’ve built up over the years. Being part of ITV will help us grow further in the UK and, in particular, to achieve our international ambitions. '24 Hours in A&E' Series 3 got off to a flying start on Wednesday (April 10th), with record audiences. 3.3 million people watched the show that evening – a 14.1% share of viewers. That's up 500,000 on the strong Series 2 premiere.

'24 HOURS IN A&E' WATCHED BY 4 MILLION EACH WEEK
'24 Hours in A&E' is currently Channel 4’s highest rating programme, so far averaging a consolidated audience of more than 3 million and a share of 11%. The repeat on Thursday nights adds another million, meaning that around 4 million people watch '24 Hours in A&E' each week. According to the overnights, last week's instalment (Episode 6), was the best performer so far, with 3.2 million watching on Wednesday night and a further 1.1 million tuning in for Thursday's repeat.
